The Scoundrel's Seduction Jennifer Haymore

My take:

Ms. Haymore did it again! I enjoy Ms. Haymore's story since she came out with her first book.  I have been buying her books since...and yes, I buy them even if I do not always get a chance to read them at once because of school.

This is a wonderful love story about second chances and true love.  When Sam and Elise got to know each other better, it is the beginning of a sweet and hot love story.  I do not begrudge them their circumstances.

I love that the story line is not the usual innocent, sweet, single girl looking for love.  This book has more grit and will appeal specially to mature audiences.  I am not sure if my taste in reading had change, but, I enjoyed this story where both have something in their past that is very much a part of themselves.

This book is one summer read a romance lover should not missed!

The Scoundrel's Seduction by Jennifer Haymore (May 27, 2014; Forever Mass Market; $8.00)
TEMPTATION KNOWS NO BOUNDS . . .
Undercover agent Sam Hawkins has devoted his life to protecting king and country. So when he receives orders to assassinate a ruthless traitor, he doesn't question his mission. But Sam didn't know his deed had a witness--the beautiful and mysterious betrayer's wife. Now he has no choice but to take her as his prisoner-one he can neither trust . . . nor resist.

Élise, Lady Dunthorpe, will do anything to escape her powerful captor--including seducing him senseless. She didn't know of her miserable husband's crimes, but she has secrets of her own, secrets that threaten everything she holds dear. With his piercing dark eyes and gentle touch, Sam inflames Élise's deepest desires, but how could she ever trust a man who won't let her go? Caught between the crown he's sworn to serve and the woman he's come to love, Sam will risk his heart--and his very life--to keep her safe.

About Jennifer Haymore:
As a child, Jennifer Haymore traveled the South Pacific with her family on their homebuilt sailboat. The months spent on the sometimes quiet, sometimes raging seas sparked her love of adventure and grand romance. Since then, she's earned degrees in computer science and education and held various jobs ranging from bookselling to teaching inner-city children to acting, but she's never stopped writing.

You can find Jennifer in Southern California trying to talk her husband into yet another trip to England, helping her three children with homework while brainstorming a new five-minute dinner menu, or crouched in a corner of the local bookstore writing her next novel.

  1. I have too many 'fave' books to decide on just one. But yours definitely spark my curiosity, so I bought 3. Seem my 'fave' list keeps growing also. I love exploring new authors (at least new to me). I'm quite new to the Romance novel world compares to my other (online) 'romance' friends who've been reading them for 30+ yrs, I'm a 'newbie' compares to them, I used to be a sci-fi fan when I was in college, and my views on 'romance' novels was not in a positive light, just like others who pretended not to like them, or swore would never be caught dead reading one. :P yeah, right!! Now, I'm a romance junkie and proud of it. ;)

I have been reading romance since I was 10. I just love it. I am new to sci fi, which is pretty fun, I am finding out.
